Back to Ranking

Yep I admit, I panicked about googles Penguin update. But I had good reason to; It was stressful! Many of my sites dropped off the map on 4/24/12. That meant a major loss in income. which means panic. lol. Anyway, it’s back to business as usual.

I had to get rid of a few tools (that I really liked), and change-up my link strategy, but everything is back on track… I just hate having to start rebuilding all over…

Prior to the 4/24 Penguin update, it was quite easy to get to the first page of google within a couple of weeks (except for highly competitive keywords)… but now, post Penguin, oh, it’s still easy to get to the first page of google… it just takes more work (and a couple extra weeks).

To Mr. Google… You are my friend again… Well, hmm, maybe it’s just I like to keep my enemies close. ;)

Most apps were so slow that it was just too frustrating to use. i.e., I close a window, but it takes 4 seconds for it to actually close. 1995 all over again.

The reason: Most apps are using VNC. VNC (Virtual Network Computing) requires that you run a service on the Read more »

Dot Co verse Dot Com

dot comI only use .com, .net, and .org.. why? Because they are the easiest to rank in google organically. But some seo guru’s say that the .co will be another good choice and just as easy to rank. I myself have seen a .co on the first page ranking right along with other .com’s in the real estate niche.

So I have been contemplating on getting a few .co’s for some affiliate sites since all of the keyword rich .com’s are already taken. I came across a site that had a similar curiosity about .co’s and so they did a simple test. back in July 2011, they registered two domains: Read more »
